Biblioteca Berenson Joins Scan & Deliver Service

May 21, 2013—Approximately 41,000 unique titles from Biblioteca Berenson in Florence, Italy, are now available through the Library’s Scan & Deliver service.

Biblioteca Berenson, the library of Villa I Tatti, the Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies, provides in-depth coverage of scholarship on the history, fine and applied arts, music, literature, religion and philosophy, law, politics, science and medicine, and other aspects of late medieval and early modern Italy, ca. 1200–1700. It also collects selected works in related fields such as classical and medieval studies and texts, Byzantine, Islamic and Mediterranean studies, and the Renaissance period in Europe and beyond.

Scan & Deliver is a free, electronic document delivery service for Harvard students, faculty, staff, summer school students and special borrowers with access to Harvard Library’s electronic resources. Patrons may request one book chapter or one article per request to be scanned from the library collections that are currently on the shelf. Access Scan & Deliver services here.
