HOLLIS+ Replaces AquaBrowser HOLLIS on December 22

On the morning of Monday December 22, HOLLIS+ will become the primary Harvard Library catalog.

  • http://hollis.harvard.edu will lead users to HOLLIS+ instead of HOLLIS Aquabrowser.
  • HOLLIS Aquabrowser will be decommissioned.
  • The HOLLIS Aquabrowser My Discoveries service will end on December 21. My Discoveries users will be contacted directly and notified of the upcoming change.

HOLLIS Aquabrowser has been slated for decommissioning in December since HOLLIS+ beta was first announced. As you know, Aleph data added or changed since October 13 is not reflected in HOLLIS Aquabrowser. We have been working with the vendor to fix Aquabrowser indexing but unfortunately have been unable to resolve the issue.

Phase II of HOLLIS+ implementation is nearing completion. Special collections and archives content from VIA and OASIS will soon be available in the production version of HOLLIS+ and Phase II will be substantially complete by December 22. Look for more announcements soon about what's new in HOLLIS+ Phase II. We will also announce three open meetings in mid-December to give you a chance to preview the changes and ask questions.

References to HOLLIS Aquabrowser on the library portal and other library systems will be updated accordingly between now and December 22. Please update your own websites and guides if appropriate.

If you have specific questions about the decommissioning of HOLLIS Aquabrowser or transition to HOLLIS+, please contact us via the HOLLIS+ feedback form.
