Collections
Robbins' collection focuses on the research and teaching interests of its faculty and graduate students. Given this fact, its holdings are strongest in ancient philosophy, early modern philosophy, contemporary Anglo-American philosophy, logic, metaphysics, philosophy of mind, epistemology, law, ethics, philosophy of mathematics, and philosophy of science. We also have a small collection of Kierkegaardiana, as well a collection of books that belonged to the American philosopher Josiah Royce.
Archives
We have small holdings of selected dissertations of graduates of the Department. We also hold materials from Edward D.T. Bechtel, an alumnus and generous benefactor of the Department as well as from the famous American philosophers Josiah Royce and William James.
