Collections

Baker Library collects across the broad areas of management and business. Leadership, business and the environment, venture capital, globalization and emerging markets are recent areas of focus. Archives

Baker Library holds comprehensive special collections that record the evolution of industry from the 1400s to the present. The HBS Archives, manuscripts and rare books document the individuals, organizations and theories that shaped, and continue to influence, the global business world.   • Fast Answers address commonly asked questions about business research and Baker Library’s services and resources.  If you can't find an existing Fast Answer on your topic, "Ask Us!" for assistance. 

  • Research Consultations
  • Members of the Harvard University community may request an appointment with a research librarian who will provide advice on defining your topic, developing your research strategy, locating and using subject-specific data sources, and identifying potential research problem areas.Request a research consultation.

  • Baker Library serves the Harvard Business School community, as well as Harvard University, alumni and researchers. Visitors may be required to purchase access to some collections. For detailed information, see Who Can Use Baker. For details on borrowing, see Borrowing Materials.

 
 

ACCESSIBILITY

 
  • All areas of Baker Library are accessible by wheelchair through the south entrance of the building.  The de Gaspé Beaubien Reading Room is on Level 1.  Elevators provide access to the Stamps Reading Room on Level 3 and the stacks. Users with disabilities are welcome to contact the library to discuss their research and any additional assistance or services required to make use of our building or collections.
