The Library supports the immediate needs of faculty and graduate students in the Department of Mathematics.

Collections

 

Overview

The Birkhoff Library houses a working collection of primary monographs and journals in pure mathematics. The collection of 12,000 monographs and journals is non-circulating. The monographs are largely duplicates of titles in the Cabot Science Library, which are circulating.

 
 

LIBRARY SERVICES

 
  • Introduction
  • Research appointments are provided by staff in Cabot Library; undergraduate and graduate reserves are supported in Cabot Library. Reserves for some graduate courses are in Birkhoff Library. A Library Assistant is available from 9am-12pm.
