HarvardX’s free online course “The Book: Histories Across Time and Space” is the result of a dynamic partnership with Harvard Library. The massive open online coursealso known as a MOOCmakes Harvard’s most unique and fragile books, scrolls, and manuscripts digitally accessible.

Suzanne Wones has been named director of library digital strategies and innovations at Harvard Library. Wones will begin this position on January 4, 2016.

Matthew Wittmann has been announced as the new curator of the Harvard Theatre Collection. In this role, he will lead research, access, and interpretation of the collection’s diverse array of materials pertaining to the performing arts.

An Open Your Hidden Collections event brought together sixteen project team members who shared their latest findings with library colleagues from across the system.

The Harvard Kennedy School Library & Knowledge Services team works closely with faculty, staff, and students to achieve the school’s strategic priorities and create a campus that amplifies its mission.

Harvard librarians are collecting and organizing a diverse array of visual and textual materials that represent the multiple viewpoints articulated in the aftermath in a digital archive. The Charlie Archive at the Harvard Library will be open and available to Harvard Library users in January 2016, and is soliciting submissions via its website.

Graduate School of Education facade

The Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) is in its third year with a new dean, Jim Ryan. Dean Ryan's vision for the school is clear in the school's new Capital Campaign motto, Learn to Change the World. In step with this mission, the Gutman Library team supports the HGSE and Harvard learning community in many ways.
