Research Collections

The Gutman Library research collections includes books, journals, ERIC microfiche, media, electronic resources, and testing materials to support the teaching and research of the faculty and students of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and the greater Harvard community. Special Collections

Effective November 1, 2017, the Gutman Library Special Collections materials will not be available for at least one year due to a building renovation.Contact special_collections@gse.harvard.edu with questions and research inquiries.

  • The Monroe C. Gutman Library is open to all members of the Harvard University Community and to Gutman Special Borrowers. Other scholars and researchers who have information needs within the scope of our collections may apply to use the library weekdays from 8:30am -5:00pm.   • Monroe C. Gutman Library is committed to making its collections, services and programs available to all users. Library staff will make every reasonable effort to assist patrons with special needs. To inquire about services available, or to give advance notice of special needs, contact Access Services, at 617-495-3423. Gutman Library is wheelchair-accessible. The lobby and building entrances have automatic doors. Two interior elevators serve all floors of the building. Additional services for persons with disabilities are described on the library's website.
