Holdings Description:Summary description of collection: Primarily intended for Classics undergraduate and graduate students. Collection includes course readings and great standard works. Size of collection: 9,000 volumes. Expanded description of collection: Primarily intended for classics undergraduate and graduate students. Collection includes course readings, standard works such as Paulys Real-encyclopaedie der klassischen Altertumswissenschaft, Thesaurus lingua latinae, leading classical periodicals, some critical editions, commentaries, concordances, and selected critical monographs on Greek and Latin authors. Special collections: Paleography. The bulk of the Paleography collection was transferred to the Smyth Library in 1995, when Room D became the Medieval Studies Library. A selection of paleography materials remains in Room D. For specific titles, consult HOLLIS.
