Holdings Description:Summary description of collection: The Nieman Collection is not a formal library but rather a small, informal collection of books and periodicals located at the Nieman Foundation headquarters, the Lippmann House, One Francis Ave., in Cambridge. Size of collection: 1,973 books; 40 journals; 14 newspapers Expanded description of collection: The Nieman Collection is not a formal library but rather a small, informal collection of books and periodicals located in a room of the Nieman Foundation's headquarters. The collection is in the process of being catalogued by Library of Congress call number and will be searchable via a Web interface. Nieman alumni/ae authors will be noted in the cataloging data. The collection also includes a number of periodicals: magazines/journals are retained for one year, newspapers for one week.
