Mavra
Stravinsky’s one-act opera Mavra was presented by Diaghilev in Paris in 1922. Bronislava Nijinska was the stage director, and Léopold Survage designed the costumes and décor. The libretto was written by Kochno, Diaghilev’s secretary, using his pseudonym, “Sobeka.” A notable failure, the opera was only performed seven times. |
