Cléopâtre

The ballet Cléopâtre, choreographed by Michel Fokine, was produced in the first Ballets Russes season of 1909 as a vehicle to feature Ida Rubinstein, who was engaged specially for this sensual role. With Lydia Sokolova and Adof Bolm in the roles of Princess Ta-hor and Amoun, it also made a great sensation on the American tour of 1916.
