Figurines based on characters in the ballet Le Carnaval

The Meissen porcelain factory in Volkstedt-Rudolstadt, Germany, issued a series of five fine figurines, all designed by Paul Scheurich, in 1920, showing the characters Harlequin and Colombine in Michel Fokine’s ballet Le Carnaval. A sixth figure, showing Harlequin alone, was issued later.
