Manuscript by Serge Diaghilev planning his production of The Sleeping Princess Not many manuscripts, or even letters, survive in Diaghilev’s handwriting. This one constitutes his planning for the 1921 ballet The Sleeping Princess. The full-evening-long ballet was to be run on consecutive nights, so it required double- and even triple-casting. This manuscript includes lists of dancers and roles. |
