Une Fête Merveilleuse
Une Fête Merveilleuse was a spectacular divertissement created by Diaghilev for a single performance presented at the Hall of Mirrors (Galerie des Glaces) at the Palace of Versailles on June 30, 1923. It consisted principally of Le Mariage d’Aurore (Aurora’s Wedding, an extended excerpt from The Sleeping Princess), augmented by unrelated scenes of singing and dancing, including choreography by Nijinska, Massine, and Fokine. |
