The Harvard University Archives is the oldest and one of the largest institutional academic archives in the nation.

The Harvard University Archives collects, organizes, preserves and provides access to a comprehensive record of more than 375 years of life at Harvard. From 17th and 18th century diaries and scientific observations to 21st century web sites, the Harvard University Archives’ collections comprise over 51,000 feet and 9 terabytes of University records and related historical materials.

This activity is tied integrally to records management services for Harvard University staff, administrators and faculty. Records management staff provide guidance and resources for all stages in the records and information lifecycle, from creating records through destruction of non-permanent records or transfer of permanent records to the Harvard University Archives.

Description: The Good Project is an ensemble of research projects designed to understand the nature of various “goods” and, importantly, to promote their realization in our time. Through its variety of components, the Good Project investigates realms such as work (Good Work), civic participation (Good Citizenship), organizational collaboration (Good Collaboration), family life (the Family Dinner Project), conceptions of quality (Quality), higher education (Good Education), and the use of digital media amongst youth (Good Play). The Good Project has designed a range of public materials that concern and promote these “goods,” including toolkits, courses, and publications. The Good Project website provides information on the purpose of the project, the Collaboration study, the Good Play Project, the Developing Minds and Digital Media Project, the Good Citizenship initiatives (Good Participation, Trust and Trustworthiness, Civic Trust Among Young Immigrants), the Quality Project, the Family Dinner Project, courses, books, research papers, toolkits, curricula, conferences, events, news, faculty, staff, affiliations, and funders.
