Houghton Library and the American Trust for the British Library present the 11th Breslauer Lecture

R. Dyke Benjamin, President of the American Trust for the British Library, on “The Formation Of A Private Collection For The Public Good: John Ruskin And His Transatlantic Inspiration.”

R. Dyke Benjamin, a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School, has been a student and collector of John Ruskin’s works for 50 years. He served as a Director of Lazard Asset Management, and is now Managing Director of Axiom Capital Management. Benjamin was named a companion in Ruskin’s Guild of St. George and elected an honorary member of The Bibliographical Society of America. He is the current president of the American Trust for the British Library.
