At home at Lynnewood Hall on New Year’s Eve, 1911, Harry wrote his friend, New York bookseller Luther Livingston, about his Christmas holidays. As usual, his mother’s presents to him were very fine (and expensive) books for his collection:

“…As far as news goes, I have very little to give you. We had a glorious Christmas and as usual I got several very fine books. Mother gave me the three Keats volumes all in boards and all in the finest state. They were really fine and pleased me a great deal as I have wanted a fine set of Keats.”
