Designs by Natalia Goncharova for the ballet Le Coq d’Or

Natalia Goncharova was the original designer of the costumes and décor for Le Coq d’Or. These designs were re-executed by her for a 1937 revival. The suite of designs includes costumes, décor, curtains, and puppets and masks and at once show her interest in primitive Russian art, in folk influences, and (especially in the scene designs) modernism and cubism.
