Herbert Lindon. Autograph letter to Richard Monckton Milnes, December 26, 1876.
Fanny Brawne Lindon’s son Herbert wrote this letter to Keats biographer Richard Monckton Milnes, Lord Houghton, when Lindon and his siblings were looking for a buyer for their mother’s letters from Keats. Lord Houghton refused the offer, and Lindon next offered the letters to Harry Buxton Forman, who published the letters two years later.
