Wood fragments identified as “from a Titanic lifeboat” found in what was formerly the Curator’s office, Harry Elkins Widener Collection.

Archibald Gracie, a passenger on the ship, published The Truth about the Titanic (N.Y. Mitchell Kennerley, 1913) [HOU-LC G530. T6 G7 HOLLIS #011790246] in which he lists the passengers who survived in each lifeboat, including “Mrs. Widener and maid,” and those who “Bade good-bye to wives and sank with the ship,” including “Widener and his son Harry.”
