We are pleased to share with you the MARS FAQ for Catalogers, which explains the automated authority control service we subscribe to from Backstage Library Works. The MARS process performs bibliographic heading fixes, provides new and changed authority records, and generates summaries and reports that list the headings that the MARS process cannot fix.
This FAQ is one component of the MARS Reports Pilot, in which a team of librarians from Harvard Library is analyzing what resources would be necessary to process the MARS reports. - Recommending a governance structure for Harvard Library committees and groups
- Recommending a process for identifying core committees and groups to support HL and University priorities
- Developing a timeline for establishing new committees and reviewing existing groups
- Submitting recommendations to the LLT by early June 2014

Paula Aloisio, Jenny Gotwals, Cat Lea Holbrook and Mark Vassar at the Schlesinger Library each received a Digital Archives Specialist Certificate following completion of a nine-course program.
