W. D. Fellowes. Paris, during the Interesting Month of July, 1815. London: Gale and Fenner, 1815. *EC75.P6598.Zz815f.

This account of the month of Napoleon's abdication and the restoration of Louis XVIII, as reported by an Englishman living in Paris, bears a presentation inscription from the author to his friend Hester Piozzi, and contains several of her annotations. The striking binding on this copy dates from almost a century later. It was done by the famous London bookbinders Riviere & Son in a style known as a Cosway binding, named after the English miniaturist Richard Cosway, for the painted ivory miniature (a reproduction of the book's frontispiece) inset in the front cover.
