Thackerayana (London: Chatto & Windus, 1875).
Thackeray’s great popularity with the reading public did not diminish after his death. Readers eagerly sought previously unpublished or uncollected stories or anecdotes. Edited by Joseph Grego, Thackerayana was a biography, a collection of unpublished drawings, and a record of Thackeray’s reading culled from the catalogue of the sale of his books. The imaginative pictorial cover reproduced many of Thackeray’s self portraits.
