The Tibetan Collection at Harvard-Yenching Library centers on Buddhism but also includes holdings in history and literature.
Strengths of the collection include printings of the 17th- and 18th-century editions of the Kanjur and the Tanjur.
The Harvard Library also subscribes to the Buddhist Digital Resource Center, a digital library that contains about 54,000 volumes of Tibetan texts.

- Both Harvard-Yenching Library and Widener Library hold Tibetan-language materials.
- New publications from China, India and Tibet are regularly added at Widener Library and are supplemented by a growing collection of older materials in electronic form.
