Calendar of Harvard History

A lot has happened since 1636. Use the Calendar of Harvard History to explore the people, places, and events that have shaped Harvard over time.

The Calendar of Harvard History is a compilation of news coverage of historical events related to Harvard (both directly and indirectly). Open to the public, the calendar lets users review press coverage of issues and events throughout Harvard's nearly 400 year history.

The database originally was created by Marvin Hightower in the Harvard News Office and was used internally for Harvard Public Affairs & Communications and News Office staff reference. Since September 2009, the Harvard University Archives has maintained the database and kept its content current.
