Each semester, Harvard-Yenching Library offers research orientation sessions to help users interested in using our East-Asian Language materials.
During these one-hour sessions, librarians provide in-depth guidance on how best to access and use our wide variety of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean e-resources and databases.
Scheduled Sessions
We post the orientation schedule on the Harvard-Yenching Library website at the beginning of each fall and spring semester. Upcoming sessions will also appear on this page.
When you register for a virtual session, the Zoom meeting ID and password will be sent to you prior to the scheduled date.
Individual Sessions
If you are unable to attend any of the scheduled sessions, we offer one-on-one sessions, either in-person or via Zoom. Please make an appointment directly with a Language Bibliographer:
- Chinese Language Resources: Xiaohe Ma and Sharon Li-shiuan Yang
- Japanese Language Resources: Kuniko Yamada McVey
- Korean Language Resources: Mikyung Kang
