Research Support for Asian Studies

Harvard-Yenching Library offers both virtual and in-person research orientation sessions for Chinese-, Japanese-, and Korean-language materials.

Harvard-Yenching Library offers research orientation sessions each semester to help users interested in using our East Asian language materials.

During these one-hour sessions, librarians provide in-depth guidance on how best to access and use our wide variety of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean e-resources and databases. 

Attend a Group Session

We post the orientation schedule on the Harvard-Yenching Library website at the beginning of each fall and spring semester. Upcoming sessions will also appear on this page.

When you register for a virtual session, the Zoom meeting ID and password will be sent to you prior to the scheduled date. 

Book an Individual Session

If you are unable to attend any of the scheduled sessions, we offer one-on-one sessions, either in-person or via Zoom. Please make an appointment directly with a language bibliographer:
