Adriana Gallegos

Adriana Gallegos is a higher education professional with extensive experience in administrative operations and program management roles at Harvard University. In her current role as Associate Director of Administrative Operations for the Harvard Library and Harvard College Library, she oversees the organization’s administrative policies and processes. In this capacity, Adriana provides guidance on a variety of administrative topics, including travel policies, procurement and distribution of equipment and technology resources, office and meeting space usage, onboarding, offboarding, and event planning. She works closely with library administrators, managers, and department heads to understand their needs and develop administrative solutions that help them focus on their core missions.

In her previous role as Department Administrator for FAS Human Resources, Adriana managed the department multi-million budget, payroll functions, and day-to-day administrative operations. She also facilitated the development, implementation, and dissemination of the department communications in support of the staff professional development programs across FAS. Prior to joining FAS HR, Adriana worked as Program Administrator for the FAS Center for Systems Biology, where she led the organization of the annual Systems Biology conference and managed an undergraduate research internship and a fellowship program.

Adriana holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Monterrey Tech (ITESM), and a Master of General Management from Harvard Extension School. She was an AFP fellow in 2013-14, a leadership development fellowship for high-potential academic administrators of color. Adriana currently serves as Co-Chair for the Harvard Latinx ERG (AHLFS).
