Alessandra Seiter (she/they) is the Manager of Community Engagement & Special Projects at Harvard Kennedy School Library & Research Services. In this role, Alessandra leads the department's engagement strategy and efforts with HKS students, faculty, staff, and researchers to develop, assess, and deliver excellent and responsive resources, services, and programs in support of current and future research, teaching, and learning. She also leads special projects with internal and external collaborators to develop and maintain a world-class academic public policy library.

Alessandra's professional work is informed by an academic background in the geography of social movements and 15 years of community organizing. They’re particularly interested in the relationship between infrastructure (social, physical) and democratic participation. Alessandra holds a BA in Geography from Vassar College, a MS in Library and Information Science from Simmons University, and is a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competency with the International Association of Accessibility Professionals. She is currently pursuing a MS in City Planning at Boston University and a Public Leadership Credential at Harvard Kennedy School.
