Colin Lukens

Senior Repository Manager
Open Scholarship and Research Data Services

As Senior Repository Manager in Harvard Library’s Open Scholarship and Research Data Services (OSRDS), Colin leads the strategic development and day-to-day stewardship of Harvard’s open-access institutional repository, DASH. Partnering with faculty, students, and administrators, he helps align dissemination of Harvard research with funder, publisher, and institutional policies—expanding the visibility, impact, and long-term discoverability of scholarly work. Colin can also advise on institutional repositories (and scholarly repositories, in general), electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs), open access, and persistent identifiers (such as ORCID).

Contact Colin if you need help with:

  • Strategically making your work—or that of your department, program, lab, or institute—more openly accessible through the DASH repository, including meeting open-access policies and mandates
  • Submitting your ETD, choosing appropriate access settings, managing embargoes, or maximizing the reach and discoverability of your thesis or dissertation
  • Obtaining and using an ORCID iD, integrating it into your scholarly workflow, or understanding how ORCID supports attribution, compliance, and research visibility

When he’s not at Harvard Library, Colin is reading, playing with cats, at a restaurant, or making music — either on bass with the Boston band the Galvanics or with his solo project, Lesser Pursuits.
