Czech artist, storyteller, and accomplished printmaker Helena Bochořáková-Dittrichová (1894–1980) channeled her command of value (degrees of light and dark) into a distinctive style she used in artistic renderings of daily life and struggles in the communities in which she lived. This exhibition delves into her technical skill with value as well as the ways she valued the subjects and themes in the world she documented.

This exhibition was curated by Kelly Bullard, Assistant Curator of Printing & Graphic Arts.
