The Fine Arts Library's Digital Images and Slides Collection can provide copy photography by request for teaching and research.
Materials including books, photographs, slides or transparencies can be digitized. Image subject matter should be related to the visual arts, archaeology, architecture, or material culture.
All materials digitized by request will also be made available online to the Harvard community.

All Harvard ID holders can request these materials. Faculty and classroom teaching requests are given first priority. No fees associated with this service.
If you need assistance in filling out the form, please contact us. In particular, we invite first time users of this service to contact us to have a conversation about your imaging needs.
Submit a request:
To make a request, fill out the Imaging Order Request Form. Please read the instructions before filling out the form, and bring it with the materials to be digitized to one of our offices—at Lamont Library or the Sackler building.
- Lamont Library, Room 130. Ask for us at the circulation desk
- Sackler Building, Room 416. Our Sackler office hours are: 10 AM-12 PM and 1-3 PM weekdays during the fall and spring semesters, and closed for the summer.
- If you wish to access the slide collection or need assistance in acquiring or using images, contact Bill Connor or Al Morales.
Please allow at least 5 business days per 50 images.
