HOLLIS Special Request is where you can manage your requests to view special collection items in a library reading room, as well as requests for copies and reproductions of library materials.
Things to Know
- The first time you use the system you'll be prompted to create an account. You do not need a Harvard ID to create an account.
- To make a request, locate the item you'd like in HOLLIS or HOLLIS for Archival Discovery and click "Request to Copy or Visit"
- You can also sign into your account and fill out the reading room request or copy request form.
- Your account allows you to track your current and past requests.
- In your account you can create draft requests and save them until you're ready to visit the library to view the materials.
- Many of our holding libraries encourage or require visitors to make a reading room appointment to view special collection materials. Making a reading room appointment is a separate process from selecting a date when you submit your requests. Visit the website of the library that holds your materials for more details on how to plan your visit.
