Jillian Amaral (she/her) is the Reference, Collections, and Instruction Librarian for Molecular and Cellular Biology. She is passionate about supporting the entire scholarly community—including students, staff, fellows, and faculty—as they navigate today’s complex information landscape. Jillian provides consultations on all aspects of library research, offers guidance in citation management, and delivers instruction and workshops in information and media literacy. Formerly a cell biologist in academic and pharmaceutical labs, Jillian studied biology and chemistry at Mount Holyoke College. She later earned her master’s in Library and Information Science from Simmons University, and was able to combine her longstanding enthusiasm for science with her love of research to become a dedicated STEM librarian.
