Matthew Noe
My name is Matthew Noe and I’m a Midwestern (WI & KY) transplant to New England. I earned both my Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy) and Master of Science (Library Science) from the University of Kentucky, where I now teach in the School of Information in addition to my roles at Harvard. My areas of expertise include graphic medicine, comics in general, health literacy, and the medical humanities. I'm currently on the boards of both the Graphic Medicine International Collection and the American Library Association, Graphic Novels and Comics Round Table, as well as taking on roles within the Medical Library Association. I was a first generation student, working my way through undergrad as a resident advisor and managing a local greasy spoon prior to grad school. Now that I finished a long-standing review project, I'm returning to my interests in the connected (though maybe not at first glance) topics of silence, NOT doing, and misconceptions about laziness, but you’ll also find me reading comics, watching 90’s cartoons, or playing with our dogs!
