My name is Matthew Noe and I’m a Midwestern (WI & KY) transplant to New England. I earned both my Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy) and Master of Science (Library Science) from the University of Kentucky, where I now teach in the School of Information in addition to my roles at Harvard. I also help run the Graphic Medicine website, primarily through my This Week in Graphic Medicine series, and am involved in the American Library Association Graphic Novel and Comics in Libraries Round Table as the Resources and Toolkits Committee Chair. My areas of expertise include graphic medicine, comics in general, health literacy, and the medical humanities. I was a first generation student, working my way through undergrad as a resident advisor and managing a local greasy spoon prior to grad school. I’m currently fascinated with Boston geography, but you’ll also find me reading comics, watching 90’s cartoons, or playing with our dogs!
