Harvard-Yenching Library is pleased to announce a display of library holdings by Han Kang, Nobel Prize in Literature 2024, displayed in the Chinn Ho Reading Room. The Han Kang book display includes Korean books, which are her original writings, as well as Chinese translations and QR codes directing library patrons to the HOLLIS pages for the English translations that Harvard Library owns as e-books.
Han Kang is a South Korean writer who earned several notable awards before the Nobel Prize in Literature 2024, including Yi Sang Literary Award in 2005, International Booker Prize in 2016, and Prix Médicis étranger in 2023. Her notable works include The Vegetarian, Human Acts, We do not part, Mongolian mark, and many others.
This book display was designed and installed by Adrianne Gren and Sadiya Gurhan in HYL Access Services.
The books will remain available for borrowing.
