Riain Ross-Hager

Riain Ross-Hager serves as the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Project Archivist at Harvard Library, Technical Services for Archives and Special Collections. In this role, Riain is responsible for processing the personal and professional papers of former Liberian president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Africa’s first democratically elected woman head of state, serving from 2006 to 2018.

Before joining Harvard, Riain worked as a Processing Archivist at Stanford University Medical History Center and San Diego State University Special Collections and University Archives. Riain also held the 2022 Jazz Archives Fellowship at the Rutgers Institute of Jazz Studies, where he contributed to processing the Count Basie Collection.
