Rita Soenksen

EDIBA Librarian

As EDIBA Librarian, I collaborate with various departments and units to integrate EDIBA principles into our services, collections, and facilities. I assist with the development and implementation of training initiatives under the EDIBA Learning Journey and work closely with library and campus stakeholders. I am involved in the utilization and continued growth and development of the EDIBA Reading Room (West Stacks Reading Room, Widener Library).

My research interests are diversity in libraries and LIS programs, making academic libraries welcoming places, and service to neurodiverse patrons. I hold a Master of Arts in Library and Information Studies and a Master of Arts in African American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Northern Iowa.
